Sometimes...

I have the feeling that I could have done certain art or animation better. Looking at the last collab I participated in, I realized that there's something wrong. I know I shouldn't compare myself to others, but I have the feeling that I could have done something good but ended up doing something not so good.

I know people of my age or a similar age who do a good job. @anamonator for example. Even if his art isn't good enough to be on the front page, as he said, I thought his style was really amazing. This teaches me that I can't use my current age as an excuse not to do something good. I realized that I have to put in more effort, practice more and do my drawings with care, that's the only way I can get good.

But I can't forget that it's not right to compare myself to other people. My style is already good, I just need to improve it more. I also have to dedicate more time, because I do everything in a hurry, and also put more effort into drawing certain things. If you want, you can give me tips on how to improve my drawings, especially tips on Adobe Flash. With that, I can finally make masterpieces.

The true love of creating and some persistence will take your work to where it needs to be! Don’t compare too harshly, and stick with it! It could take a while to start getting good, as much as art is subjective

Grown man motivation, I respect that. Heck I can relate in a little sense (with VA). Anyways, keep going because your artistic evolution will be legendary if you keep trucking.

I see where you're going, and I can relate. Art is pretty subjective when it comes to how "good" or "bad" it is. As the two below me have stated, devotion matters. I personally believe everyone has their own style, and you're one of those people. I'd pay more attention to the care and how well it might convey a message, without changing the style too much. So, you've got the right mindset here.

But, how to improve on drawing skills? If it helps any, I usually draw rough outlines and try to identify individual shapes in my drawings, such as a sphere for a head or an oval for a body or sticks for limbs, etc. Then, I use it as a frame and draw over it on a different layer with the outlines and textures. I also take time afterwards to clean up the lines a bit. It does effectively double the time and effort, but if that's what you want, I hope this tip helps.
